Because everyone has the right to clean water.
After training as an office administrator, he started as a commercial employee at Elettronica GmbH (subsidiary of Elettronica S.p.A.), where he rose to become Commercial Manager in over 23 years. He was responsible for HR, accounting, IT, quality and safety.
After moving to Indutec International Holding GmbH & Co. KG in 2017, he took over the management of Christen & Laudon GmbH in 2018 and successfully led the company into economic recovery following its insolvency. From 2022-2025, he was Commercial Director at Unilux GmbH and Group CFO at HBI Fenster & Türen (Aurelius Group). Here he was responsible for accounting, controlling, HR, IT and complaints.
He has been part of the management team at Zahnen Technik since March 2025 and is responsible for finance and controlling.
The young business psychologist (B.Sc.) joined the management team in October 2022 with responsibility for Strategy & Resources.
Back in the Eifel region after working in the Palatinate, Katrin Bretz only considered Zahnen Technik as an employer in 2020. She appreciates the family-run company, the friendly relationship between the employees and the shared passion for the vision "Because everyone has the right to clean water".
Through her future-oriented work, she is responsible for the areas of marketing, service, human resources and IT, among others, and drives the company forward strategically.
Benedikt Ney was the first graduate of a dual study program at Zahnen Technik GmbH. During his dual bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and subsequent master's degree in technical management, he got to know the company in all its facets. As Head of Technology, he is now responsible for all technological issues within the company.
With his passion for standardization, digitalization and innovative approaches to continuously improving water quality, he is a pioneer of today's flagship engineering at Zahnen Technik GmbH and a driver of developments for our ISO by zahnen, Control Cloud by zahnen and Pure Water by zahnen solutions.
Johannes Laures (M.Sc. Operations Management) began his career at Zahnen Technik in 2018 as a project estimator and quickly established himself as an indispensable part of the company. Since 2020, he has been instrumental in the development and successful establishment of sales within the company. In 2022, he took over the position of deputy management in the area of project management.
With his strong analytical understanding and industry-specific expertise, he is responsible for the areas of sales, purchasing and costing. Johannes combines his expertise in dealing with figures with a strong affinity for sales, which enables him to implement strategic decisions efficiently and achieve sustainable success.
His passion and commitment are firmly anchored in the vision of Zahnen Technik: "Because everyone has the right to clean water."
Our project management, the heart of Zahnen Technik, is the responsibility of Peter Wirtz. Project management includes the handling of several hundred reference installations on an international level.
Without his many years of expertise in this field, our development steps in the past would not have been possible.
Our many years of experience in project management have resulted in our Water Engineering Performance, which we use to support our customers both nationally and internationally. With great ambition, he drives compliance with our processes in continuous exchange with the entire project management team.
After more than 20 years with the company, we no longer want to do without his enormous expertise.
Herbert Zahnen, who grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, began his career in the electrical trade and in automation technology. After successfully completing the master craftsman school at the Cologne Chamber of Crafts, he took over his father's electrical installation business in Arzfeld, which was founded in 1958, in 1992.
When he took over the company, he strategically refocused it on factory engineering for wastewater and water management systems. As a passionate entrepreneur, Herbert Zahnen has made it the company's goal to maintain and continuously improve the quality of water. The company is committed to this responsible task in every respect.
