For phosphorus, micropollutants and suspended solids removal

Space-saving! Powerful! Flexible for universal use!

Flexbed Filter — a robust depth filtration with compressible filter media and low space requirements: an optimal solution for efficient water and wastewater filtration.

How the Flexbed Filter works

Filtration

  • Up-stream filtration process with 40 to 75 m³/m²∙h
  • Compressed filter medium between two perforated plates
  • Different and flexibly adjustable pore sizes

Backwash

  • Automatically when maximum pressure is reached
  • Low amount of rinsing water (20 min at 25 m³/m²∙h)
  • No fresh or clean water needed
  • Low energy consumption for backwash air

Applications

  • Space-saving flocculation filtration to achieve very low phosphorus concentrations
  • From wastewater, raw water, groundwater, surface water, industrial water and process water
  • Removal of TSS and particulate COD (activated sludge flocs) from wastewater treatment plants
  • Police filter before discharge into sensitive water bodies
  • Particel removal from industrial wastewater
  • Filtration of surface water for production processes
  • Treatment of water from production cycles
  • Partial flow treatment of cooling water
  • Treatment of water for industrial purposes
  • Efficient filtration downstream a powdered activated carbon dosing
  • Pre-filtration upstream Ozonisation and/or GAC adsorbers to prevent activated sludge carryover and ensure efficient operation
  • For all sizes of wastewater treatment plants
  • Upstream advanced treatment stages like
    o UV disinfection
    o Ultrafiltration
    o Desalination
  • For agricultural application (sealing, irrigation)
  • Before groundwater recharge/infiltration
